The UNO St. Claude Gallery is hosting a three-women show. The show will feature new work by Cheryl Hayes, Kathy Rodriguez, and Heather Weathers, all members of the TEN Gallery artist collective. Listed as three solo exhibitions, the artists’ work falls under the larger context of the overall title.
October 13- November 4, 2018
Cheryl Hayes
Hayes’ painting series, “Small Imperfections,” involves a variety of poly- and achromatic two-dimensional miniature compositions that create “abstractions of interiors with narrative content,” as the artist puts it.
Kathy Rodriguez
Rodriguez’s drawing series, “Making Room,” considers the artist’s work in forming void spaces that serve as vessels for potential growth through the medium of drawing.
Heather Weathers
Weathers’ mixed-media series, “Doberge Disco,” is a “confection of art” bringing together sculpture and photography. As Weathers indicates, “different textures and elements are fused together with dichotomy” in this series, which “combines layers of materials and meaning.”
Regular gallery hours are 12-5 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays, through the run of the exhibition. Please contact Kathy Rodriguez at klrodri2@uno.edu with questions, or call the gallery at 504.948.6939 during open hours.
